At Liku Worku Law Office, we are committed to providing transparent and fair fee structures. Our pricing is based on the nature and complexity of the legal services required, ensuring you receive the highest value for your investment in our expertise. We offer several arrangements to suit the diverse needs of our clients.
Non-Contentious Services
For services such as contract drafting, legal advice, company formation, and regulatory compliance, we offer two primary options:
- Hourly Rate: Our standard rate is USD 80 per hour (exclusive of VAT). This provides flexibility for ad-hoc advisory and consultation work.
- Fixed Fee or Retainer: For projects with a clear scope or for ongoing legal support, we can agree upon a fixed fee or a monthly retainer arrangement. This provides cost predictability for our clients.
Contentious Matters
For dispute resolution, litigation, and arbitration, the standard legal fee in Ethiopia is typically percentage-based. However, we believe in flexibility.
- Standard Rate: While the common rate is 10% of the total claim, we offer flexible fee structures based on the specific size, complexity, and potential duration of the case.
- Custom Arrangements: We are open to discussing alternative fee arrangements to best align our services with your objectives and budget.
Additional Costs and Disbursements
Please note that in addition to our legal fees, clients are responsible for any out-of-pocket expenses incurred on their behalf. We may charge separately for:
- Travel expenses related to casework or client meetings.
- Administrative fees, such as court filing or document preparation costs.
- Third-party services (e.g., expert opinions, translation, or transcription services).
We are committed to discussing all potential costs upfront to ensure full transparency.
Termination of Services
You may terminate our services at any time, subject to any applicable legal or contractual requirements. Similarly, we reserve the right to withdraw from representation if payments are not made on time or if any other circumstance arises that allows withdrawal under the Rules of Professional Conduct.
